Halloween is upon us and the kids are all excited for that free candy… but what about a nutritious Halloween dinner before you send your princesses and action heroes out the door?

For us, every year is a rush of excitement to get out the door. All the kids want to do is hit the neighborhood decked out in their costumes… so that means that a healthy dinner is usually an after thought. After years of trick-or-treating, I have come to learn that candy + no dinner is never a good idea.

That’s why, on nights like this, I am always so happy to be able to turn to my Ready Grill. There are so many quick and easy dinner options that I can pop into my Ready Grill, and without making a huge mess in the kitchen or having to watch the stove top, I can have a healthy dinner cooking while I’m helping the munchkins get ready.

If you don’t already own a Ronco Ready Grill now is the perfect time to pick one up! At almost 50% regular price plus… a free Ready Grill cookbook with purchase there’s no reason not to pick one up today at Ronco.com!

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite, simple go-to ideas for quick and easy Halloween dinner in your Ready Grill.

Make these quick and easy Sausage and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches in 4-5 minutes in your Ronco Ready Grill. Simply slice precooked sausage in half, layer bread with cheddar cheese and grill in your Ready Grill for 4-5 minutes.

Ready Grill Beef Sliders take only about 10 minutes to cook and you can feed a crowd of ghosts, goblins and ninjas in no time!

Kabobs are a perfect kid-friendly complete meal, and the best thing is you can design each kabob for each child’s liking. Using the optional Kabob rods, prepare them earlier in the day or the night before and leave them covered in the fridge until you’re ready to cook them. Kabobs will take about 12-15 minutes in your Ready Grill. How easy is that?

ReadyGrillMeals_5Or how about this easy Chicken Piccata idea? Simply season 6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs with a little olive oil, salt and pepper and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Preheat your Ready Grill for a few minutes, then grill chicken 18-22 minutes. While the chicken is cooking (or even earlier in the day), cook up some pasta and season cooked pasta with a little olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese and capers… and you have a quick, complete meal to keep those monsters happy.

ReadyGrillMeals_3For a really ‘no-fuss’ Halloween dinner, try these Bean & Cheese Quesadillas. Load several flour tortillas with some refried beans, cheese, and a bit of salsa. Fold over and load into your Ready Grill with open side facing up. Grill for 4-6 minutes and dinner is ready. As a bonus, these quesadillas can even be eaten on the run.

Another quick and easy Halloween dinner idea is Dijon Grilled Salmon and Asparagus. I can go to this dinner several times a month and feel good about feeding my family the healthy fish I know they need. Simply brush some salmon fillets with Dijon mustard, sprinkle with a little dried dill, salt and pepper and grill for 12-14 minutes in your Ready Grill along with some fresh asparagus.

How about some Italian Sausage Hoagies? Preheat for a few minutes, then simply grill some Italian Sausages alongside sweet peppers and onions for about 12-14 minutes. Load sausages and vegetables onto a hoagie bun, top with a little marinara sauce, cheese if you’d like, and there’s a 12-minute dinner.

I hope these ideas help to make your Halloween dinner seamless this year.  Happy Halloween from my monsters to yours!  – Chef Paja Sanchez
