This past weekend, we got the kids in the kitchen to make some healthy snacks for the week. Meal prepping is a big part of our family and Ronco fits right in! We typically Meal Prep chicken and veggies in our EZ Store Rotisserie and our Ready Grill cooks our meals for the day, but for snacks we favor our  Chiptastic. Mommy used the mandolin while kiddies placed each sliced sweet potato in the Chiptastic. If you are like me, having children in the kitchen can sometimes be a nightmare, but with the fun products that Ronco offers, everyone can get in on the cooking…because it is quick and stress-free!

MEAL_PREP_MONDAYI also love the fact that my children feel like they are eating chips, without them knowing all the junk that actually goes into the packaged ones. As we know, processed foods are not great for you so the more I can get my children craving healthy foods, and snacks, the better! Once my children are in school full time, I know we will make meal prep fun for them every Sunday night!

Once the sweet potatoes were sliced by Mommy and placed by the kiddies, we put them in the microwave on 6 minutes. The kids were jumping up and down in excitement waiting for the chips and once they came out and cooled for about 30 seconds, they dove in and were gone! Needless to say we had to make more to last a week, but we did a wide variety of chips. From regular potato to pear, there was something for everyone in our family.

Sweet Potato Chips

Slice potatoes with the mandolin, pat dry briskly.

Sprinkle cinnamon.

Cook in microwave for 5-6 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute. Enjoy!

Fiery Mango Crisps

Slice mangos with the mandolin, pat dry briskly.

Sprinkle with cayenne pepper to make Mango Crisps that bite back!

Cook in microwave for 6-7 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute. Enjoy!
