Ronco's ABC Juice RecipeABC Juice Recipe

2 Apples

1 Beet

4 Carrots

Take the above ingredients and wash. Take the stems off of the carrots and beet. Cut into quarters and throw in your Ronco Smart Juicer. Don’t forget to put your glass or pitcher underneath (we have done that before, oops)!

A is for Apple! An apple a day will keep the doctor away…no literally! With benefits such as: lowering cholesterol, lowering the risk of heart problems, and even helping to decrease the risk of asthma symptoms, it’s no wonder this saying came to be! Apples contain phytonutrients which help to regulate blood sugars and also give this juice a little bit of sweet flavor.

B is for Beets! Beets are a unique source of phytonutrients called betalains. These betalains give beets their naturally red-violet color. Betanin and vulgaxanthin are the two best-studied betalains from beets, and both have been shown to provide antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and detoxification support. The fiber from beets aids in your digestive tract health, preventing many issues many kids suffer from with our society’s packaged/processed food consumption. Cooking beets results in loss of important betalains, that is why it is important to juice them to get their maximum fiber and nutritional content!

C is for Carrots, NOT COOKIES! Carrots also contain antioxidant benefits from their beta-carotene. Not only does this help with cardiovascular help but also the old myth that if you, “Eat your carrots, your eyes will be strong” adage is true! The content of carotenoids, helps to reduce the risk of glaucoma and cataracts later on in life.

You can prepare this juice in advance for the week by simply doubling the volume, juicing into a pitcher (container) and adding a little bit of water to each serving/pour. Enjoy!
