The season of amazing fresh fruit is upon us and the supermarket and farmers market alike are exploding with delicious, gorgeous choices. The possibilities for fresh and healthy eating are endless during the summer months – and fruit salad isn’t your only option – fresh fruit can be grilled, made into delicious chips, dehydrated and juiced, too! Here are four ideas for yummy fruit recipes to try at home!
Grilled Fruit – Grilling brings out the sweetness of your fruit and recipes for grilled watermelon, pineapple, apples and peaches are abundant and translate perfectly to your Ronco Ready Grill. Here is a fantastic recipe for a delicious dessert featuring sweet summer peaches.
• 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 4 fresh peaches
• grapeseed oil (or vegetable oil)
• vanilla ice cream
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut peaches along the seam all the way around and twist halves off the pit. Brush cut sides with grapeseed oil or vegetable oil. Sprinkle cut sides with cinnamon sugar. Grill and cook until sugar is melted and fruit is tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream (sprinkle on extra cinnamon sugar if you like).

• ½ tsp cayenne pepper
• 1 mango

Cinnamon Sweetened Apples
• 6 apples, any variety
• 3-4 tablespoons honey
• 2 tsp lemon juice
• dashes of cinnamon
Peel and thinly slice apples. Toss apple slices with honey, lemon juice (to prevent browning), and cinnamon.
Place the apple slices on the dehydrator trays so they are not touching. Dehydration time will depend on how thick your apple slices are…thinner slices will take less time to dehydrate. Set your dried apples out on the counter, serve alone or with cheese slices and they will be gone before you know it!

Apple, Beet & Carrot Juice
• 6 carrots – whole, topped
• 2 raw beets – whole, topped
• 1½ cups raw kale
• 3 sups spinach
• 2 apples
Wash all fruits and vegetables well. Cut the ends off of the carrots and cut in half before juicing them. Use the Ronco Smart Juicer to process the apple, beets, and carrots. Transfer to a large jug and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
