Our 3 Fab Foodies filmed their first episode this past Friday titled “Cooking with Friends”. Since we posted pics from our cooking day, we have had many of our Ronco Foodies respond and ask for our recipes. This is your lucky day! Here is the recipe we used for our appetizer: roasted garlic with toast spears.

As soon as the garlic started to roast in the rotisserie you could smell the greatness coming from it. We could not wait to see how they would turn out and when we did it was over-the-top incredible. We would say you don’t always need bread to spread the garlic on. It is a great meal by itself. You can also use the garlic spread on anything from vegetables, add to other recipes, or use as a dip.

Roasted Garlic with Toast Spears:

  • 4 heads elephant garlic
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • French bread or baguettes

Cut the tops of the garlic off, exposing the cloves.  Set each head of garlic on a square of aluminum foil and pour 1 tablespoon olive oil over each head. Wrap the garlic up, totally sealing inside.  Rotate in the deep basket for 45 minutes or until the garlic is very soft.  Serve plain, squeezed out onto slices of bread or use in recipes.

(tip: you can always use more olive oil poured onto the garlic before wrapping them in foil.)
